Beyond the Mists of Time
A few minutes before sunrise on a cool August dawn. The mist is lapping around Wearyall Hill and Glastonbury Tor as the eastern sky glows in soft shades of pink and peach. Shortly after sunrise the mist blew away across Wearyall Hill on the growing breeze. This photograph always reminds me of the opening lines from the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám - “Awake! for Morning in the Bowl of Night Has flung the Stone that puts the Stars to Flight”.
