35mm colour film prints
This is my project is to shoot some photographs using two 35mm film camera in my possession. One is a Voigtlander Vito IIa dating from 1955, the other is a Canon F-1 SLR dating from 1975. I am re-learning the old skills of setting the correct shutter speed and aperture to suit the lighting conditions and hoping that the focus is correct. It makes you appreciate the craft of photography even more because of its complexity. The resulting photographs have that slight texture or film grain that gives a lovely warm “vintage” character to old photos compared to modern high quality digital images.
